Palmento is Authentic Neapolitan Sourdough Pizza
The Tavolieri family have been running pizzerias in Cork city for over 30 years. Elio grew up in one of his father’s pizzerias on the Grand Parade and subsequently opened the immensely popular La Tana with his brother Antonio on Barrack Street.
However, it was after training with the master pizzaiolos in Naples that Elio wanted to bring the traditional Neapolitan style pizza back to Cork and opened Palmento in the heart of Douglas Village.
Palmento fuses authentic Italian wood fired pizzas with fresh Irish ingredients to create a unique offering of classic and gourmet pizzas.

Our Sourdough, a “living food” ferment of flour and water, is made in-house using Caputo 00 flour and 24 hour proving by our pizzalios . We then blast cook the pizzas at over 500 degrees in our hand built wood fired oven. This results in a deliciously soft base, the ideal compliment with our locally sourced range of toppings.

Coffee
Our trained baristas use locally roasted artisan coffees in our wide range of gourmet coffees.

Wine
A compact selection of carefully chosen Italian and Spanish wines are available by glass, bottle and carafe.

Beer
We have a selection of craft beers on draft from local craft brewers with a number of seasonal session beers on rotation during the year.
